Participants will have the chance to contribute to a state-wide discussion of the history and potential future of California’s education research infrastructure. Participants will contribute to a collectively written report that could motivate more state resources and structures in support of educational research infrastructure in California. Participants' will share their perspectives of events and milestones that formed the state’s current educational infrastructure by discussing questions like, who has historically participated in educational research? What structures and policies have supported educational research? How has research historically been communicated and integrated into policy and practice? Then, participants will engage in a design sprint where they envision the characteristics of a desired future state of California’s education research infrastructure. Results from this discussion will be included in a large-scale, collectively authored report, and participants can choose to have their name listed.
