This session will present statewide survey data on student perceptions of their transitions out of high school. The yearly survey is a joint project with the California Education Lab at University of California Davis, the Office of Cradle to Career, and the California Student Aid Commission. Graduating high school seniors share their experiences in high school, their preparation for their futures-including college and career, and about the application process for college and financial aid. We disaggregate experiences by race/ethnicity, gender, and first-generation-college-student status. Lastly, we combine the survey findings with student interviews to provide more insight and student voice to the excitement and challenges of the transition out of high school and into college.
