In this session we present findings from a four-year research-practice-partnership between the American Institutes for Research, California Department of Education, UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego to identify effective district programs that accelerate student learning in the post-pandemic context. We examine the types of programs districts have implemented to support student learning and well-being from 2022–23 to 2024–25 school years, and estimate their relationships with student academic and non-academic outcomes. A longitudinal case study of nine diverse districts provided contextual information on how districts structure their decision-making, and the innovations that emerged and persisted through the pandemic.
